The Undercover Creative
Who Holds You To Account?
‘I’m not creative’ or ‘I don’t have time for my creative side anymore’ Have you ever thought or said that? Many of us have.
So I’m just going to put it out there. It’s rubbish. Total BS. We are all constantly creating. Almost all things, events, objects start with a thought. An idea which we consciously or unconsiously control and bring into our reality.
Every object in our homes was once just an idea in someones head. Every club, event or group we attend was just a concept that someone once thought about.
What do you want for Christmas?
How should we react when we feel judged by the person who is supposed to love us the most? Should we be defensive and retreat? Ignore their words and thoughts as they are not our own? Or should we try to take them on board and remember that they come from a place of love? I have seen it argued that “the quality of your life is the result of the standards you have for yourself and the standards of those around you”.
Daring to lead, from the back of the pack
However much time you spend on Christmas shopping for those you love there will come a point where someone will ask you ‘what do YOU want for Christmas?’
Coaching vs Counselling?
I was at a retreat in Ibiza recently when the idea of ‘being a leader’ was once again brought into my attention. Having spoken the supposed ‘unspeakable’ the latest Brené Brown book (Daring to Lead) was mentioned and I just happened to have taken my copy with me. Ever since I read Daring Greatly I have been a passionate supporter of her research and musings on vulnerability.
Mess Vs Clutter - One is necessary, the other isn’t…
As a coach, we challenge our clients. We will clarify what your client wants and take the time to find out what success in life means to them. You assist your client in clarifying their vision and the steps to get there, and helping them to discover a life of development and accomplishment, both personally and professionally.
Giving the Gift of Clutter
With National Organising Week in full flow I thought I would take a moment to work out something that my partner and I often disagree on. We can both agree that neither of us want to live in a dirty house but we both take a different view on what is a “mess” and what is “clutter”. So I thought I would pen a simple guide to what the difference between the two is in my mind.
Advertising masterminds suck you in, stop. Just STOP for a second. Are you spending your hard earned money on something that will only add clutter (and pressure) to the lives of your loved ones?! If you love them enough to give them a gift, why would you do that!!!
