The Undercover Creative
‘I’m not creative’ or ‘I don’t have time for my creative side anymore’ Have you ever thought or said that? Many of us have.
So I’m just going to put it out there. It’s rubbish. Total BS. We are all constantly creating. almost all things, events, objects start with a thought. An idea which we consciously or unconsiously control and bring into our reality.
Every object in our homes was once just an idea in someones head. Every club, event or group we attend was just a concept that someone once thought about.
For me the spring is an additionally powerful time for creation, nature is creating new life all around us and that energy is infections.
The theme for April’s coaching circle is Creativity. We are all creative in our own unique ways and we will be focusing on how we create more of what we want in our lives.
A few years ago I stumbled across the simple, yet for me, mind blowing work of Syd Banks known as ‘The 3 Principles’. Which is explained very well by Michael Neill who states:
‘Mind is the intelligence of all things; Consciousness makes you aware; and Thought is like the rudder of a ship.’
I had it explained to me that the mind is infinite play-dough of possibility, our consciousness makes us aware of the play-dough and though it the process of making things out of it! That resinated well with my inner child.
The one key thing that we need to take control of is giving ourselves a space to engage in this process. To consciously create things we need space in different ways - space in our time, our environement and also our minds. If we don’t make this space the creations still happen via the subconscious mind or in a rush which can create things that we don’t want or like the look of so much.
If you would like to create some of that space for yourself I’d love to see you at the coaching circle on the 4th April at Canford Cliffs village hall at 7.30pm (tickets are available on Eventbrite https://www.eventbrite.com/e/coaching-circle-april-2019-creativity-tickets-58788756754 or on Meetup) or drop me a message to find out about how I could support you to create things in your life that you love in a 1:1 coaching environment.
